About
Maggie’s Guitar is a band from southeastern Connecticut that blends layered guitars with complex vocal harmony to play both original songs and covers of classics ranging from folk to rock. It has produced three CDs: Crossing, released in April 2016; Who Do We Think We Are?, in 2011; and Maggie’s Guitar, in 2008.
Maggie’s Guitar has played venues throughout the Northeast, including the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia; The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, Connecticut; the Garde Arts Center in New London, Connecticut; the Small Town Concert Series in Chester, Connecticut; and the Majestic Theater in West Springfield, Mass.

The band has won praise for its two tribute shows. The first, “Box Number 10,” features the music of Jim Croce. The approximately two-hour show includes two dozen songs by Croce and his two collaborators, Maury Muehleisen and Sal Joseph. The second show, “The Sound of Silence,” features about two dozen numbers by the incomparable Simon and Garfunkel.

Maggie's Guitar comprises Ron Gletherow on vocals, guitars, keyboards and bass; Margaret Gletherow on guitars and bass; and Mike bailey on vocals, guitars and bass.
Maggie's Guitar records in Gales Ferry, Connecticut, and its releases are available on Mystic Cats Records.
